Fretkillr Lives!

I have previously posted Bytes utems on an anonymous singer and picker who goes by the handle of Fretkillr. The first of such Bytes, posted on 26.01.2010, was to say what a remarkable talent he is, how I would love to have CD’s by the man, and that he has rejected both the limelight and commercial recording, preferring to simply post his anonymous clips on YouTube. His version of Wayfaring Stranger is the best I have heard. That Bytes post can be viewed by clicking on the following link:

The second Bytes post, on 01.05.2010, was to say that YouTube had taken down all of his clips because of possible copyright infringements in respect of the songs that he was playing and singing. This was even so for oldies such as Ain’t Misbehavin’, Up the Lazy River ...  They killed Fretkillr!
That item is at:

A couple of days ago I came across a new site by Fretkillr with a large collection of his clips and more being added from time to time.  The site is called Fretkiller Presents, the usual introduction to Fretkillr vids, and is subheaded Fretkillr Lives.

The site is at:

Take the time to click on, sit back and listen to some great picking and singing, but do so before the YouTube Nazis discover the site. The first comment item in each case is by The man hisself.

Good to see you back, Killr.
